Author of The Heart of the Labyrinth (Nov 2014).
Nicole is an earth-loving, deep-thinking writer and social entrepreneur who has spent the last twenty years living and working across cultures and horizons, striving to create a harmonious sustainable world, one that values and honors the feminine principle, and is rooted in our connection to the Earth as a living being.
After a rigorous scientific training – degrees in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School – she moved to the Andes to work on maternal and child health programs across Latin America, becoming intimately acquainted with the indigenous culture of the highlands. Returning to her native Switzerland in 2004, she set up the Forum of Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum, and facilitated the nascent community’s exchanges around a vision for the world in 2020.
In 2009, eager to intensify her engagement on behalf of the feminine, she co-founded The Gender Equality Project – now called EDGE Certified Foundation – a global scheme that certifies companies for closing the gender gap in the workplace. As the project matured into a phase of expansion, Nicole retreated to the mystical ruins of ancient Greece, to honor her lifelong calling as a writer and give voice to her deepest insights and experiences in her first book, The Heart of the Labyrinth.
